FAQ
-
Why not use Venmo instead?
Our platform takes the stakes up front, so there's no need to chase down your opponent when you win. Venmo and Cash App weren’t designed for skill-based wagers. The Slate App allows you to create and track contests all in one place.
-
How do the winners get verified?
When a contest ends, each participant submits the winner. If all participants agree when time expires, the winner receives their payout. That’s it! Try adding a third party attester for an extra layer of contest verification.
-
What is considered "skill-based"?
A contest is considered skill-based when the outcome is determined by a participant’s ability, strategy, or knowledge. Slate is not a betting or gambling platform. We only offer skill-based and verifiable contest types.
